Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This policy covers consumer health data handled by Wellportion, operated by PRK Traders LLC, for adults residing in India or the USA. It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to our health-tracking features, including where state consumer-health privacy laws apply.

What we collect and where it comes from

You provide profile and dietary preferences, foods, portions, meal times or dates, water, weight, sleep, steps, recipes and plans. These entries and calculated nutrient totals may reveal health-related information. Your account identifier links them to you. We calculate totals and progress from your entries and food reference data; these are estimates, not diagnoses. Google supplies basic sign-in information, not health records. We do not access wearables, medical records, GPS location, or contacts. Label photographs are processed locally on your device; only nutrition details you save enter your journal.

Why we use it

We collect and use the data you choose to supply to save your journal, show totals and progress, personalize units and targets, sync across devices and respond to your requests. We request affirmative health-data consent before enabling journal use. Optional fields can be left blank. We do not use health data for advertising, research or AI training.

Who receives it

Database and hosting processors support storage, retrieval and security: Supabase stores account-linked journals and Hostinger runs the app and its API. Support/email processors handle health information only if you include it in a message; please avoid unnecessary medical details. Open Food Facts receives food-search or barcode queries, not your journal or account identifier from our lookup service. Current providers and roles are on our Service providers page.

We do not sell consumer health data or share it with advertisers, restaurants or food brands. We have no parent company or affiliate receiving health data. Disclosures required by law or requested by you are explained in the main policy. A new optional use or sharing arrangement requiring separate consent will not start without that consent.

Your choices and rights

In Settings you can access and export saved records and consent receipts, delete entries or the entire account, and withdraw health-data consent. Withdrawal stops journal use and removes the active journal. Export first if you need a copy. Retention of backups and support correspondence is described in the main policy.

To request confirmation of processing, access, correction, deletion, withdrawal, information about recipients, or help exercising applicable rights, email privacy@wellportion.app. We verify account ownership using proportionate checks; do not send government ID unless specifically needed and explained. We do not discriminate against people exercising privacy rights, although a journal cannot operate without the processing it requires.

If we decline a request, reply with “Privacy appeal” and explain why you disagree. We will review it and provide a decision and reasons within the applicable legal deadline. Washington residents can also contact the Washington Attorney General. You retain all rights provided by applicable law.
